On November 13, 2014, at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Rohit Sharma set a new benchmark in ODI cricket by scoring 264 runs against Sri Lanka, the highest individual score in the format till date. This remarkable innings featured 33 fours and 9 sixes.

He had the opportunity to play a few big shots and make an impact on his comeback, but he decided to rotate the strike so that Rohit Sharma could get the maximum deliveries to face.
Rohit Sharma ended up scoring 264 runs in 173 balls which is the highest individual score in ODI cricket & Uthappa scored a mere 16 runs in 16 balls. The partnership was of 128 runs in 58 balls & India ended up winning the match by 153 runs.
That's how Robin Uthappa gave more and more chance to Rohit Sharma to set up a new world record!!
It is a perfect example of "teamwork makes the dream work."
